Dr. Elena Combs was born and raised in Missoula, Montana. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Montana State University in 2015, and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2019. After graduation Dr. Combs completed two yearlong internships, one equine exclusive internship at Pioneer Equine Hospital in Oakdale, California and the second, a large animal rotating internship at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. After completing two internships she worked at Desert Pines Equine Medical and Surgical Center in Las Vegas, NV. After practicing all over the country she was excited to return home last year and worked at Tammany Veterinary Hospital in Corvallis, MT. Dr. Combs and her husband are now expecting their first child and excited about the change from large animal to small animal. She has interests in soft tissue surgery, neurology, rehabilitation and advanced imaging.  In her free time she enjoys spending time at her family lake cabin with her husband Ryan and their three miniature dachshunds, Maycee , Finlee and PJ. She also enjoys hiking, snowboarding, fishing and working out.
